I think Victim was one of the best "new" songs the dead created. It was something completely different from them, yet IMHO, they made it work really well. To this day I can't understand why so many despise this song!

Anyway, I'm looking to DL a couple of shows with an incredible Victim (I seem to recall a really good one that transitions nicely into Foolish Heart, but can't find it).

Suggestions?

12.6.89 Earthquake Benefit in Oakland-> SICK! The boys play the earthquake during Victim, mind-bending feedback, howling, raging noise, mad craziness... and then slam into a very hot "Don't Ease Me In" to close set one. :-)

Try Deer Creek 7.19.90
GRATE Victim > Foolish to open Set 2. Also, the Playin > China Doll > Uncle Johns is awesome.

With all the attention paid to 90 and 91, I'm really surprised nobody mentioned 3-21-90 Hamiltion, or 6-19-91 Pine Knob.

3-21-90's climax is so intense it almost transports you to that moment in time, dissipating into SOTM> Promised Land.

A friend of mine who went to 6-19-91 said that Mickey was actually jumping up and down on the beam with arms extended outward.
Both of these shows belong to greatly underappreciated two-night stands on their respective tours.
